AVON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eastbridge’s Worksite/Voluntary Marketing: An Executive Perspective Frontline Report surveyed 30 key executives in the worksite/voluntary business, asking their thoughts and insights on the obstacles facing the industry today as well as what they might expect for the next five years in terms of distribution, competitors, enrollment, etc. Where appropriate, the report also looks at how the executives’ opinions have changed over the past two studies conducted in 2009 and 2011.
Following are some of the key findings gleaned from the report:
- Executives feel that the “uncertainty in the future of healthcare” is the most formidable obstacle facing their employer clients as well as their own business today compared with product competition and “attracting quality brokers” in past studies.
- Executives expect distribution to change in the next five years with the marketing of voluntary products and services and benefits overall being driven more by the exchange platforms, enrollment technology, and increasing electronic communication.
- Executives believe that the basis of competitive advantage in five years with be service to the customer rather than service to the broker/producer.
- Executives agreed that face-to-face meetings will continue to be used less for voluntary enrollment in the next few years, with online and telephonic enrollments being used in addition or instead of face-to-face.
The Worksite/Voluntary Marketing: An Executive Perspective survey is conducted every two years.
