Associa Community Group Congratulates PCAM Recipients

RICHMOND, Va.--()--Community Group, an Associa company, congratulates Amber Moore and Cortney Bright on receiving the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation through the Community Associations Institute. Achieving the industry’s top accreditation allows them to better provide Virginia HOA management services to their communities and homeowners.

The PCAM designation is the highest professional recognition available nationwide to managers who specialize in community association management.

To earn the PCAM designation, a community manager must have five years of direct community management experience, maintain their Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation and pass all six of CAI’s M-200 level Professional Management Development programs, which cover community communications, leadership and governance as well as financial and facilities management.

“What a tremendous achievement for both of these employees,” said Scott Meardon, CEO and President of Community Group. “They both decided to complement their daily professional responsibilities and expertise with the highest level of community management knowledge; we’re so proud of them for meeting this challenge.”

Moore, a 13-year employee, joined Community Group in an administrative capacity and quickly moved through the ranks to manage a handful of communities as a community manager.

“I knew that obtaining the PCAM would favorably mix with my years of hands on experience and make me a stronger community manager,” said Moore. “It is my goal to provide the highest level of service to our clients.”

Bright, employed by Community Group for the last four years, had previously worked in the industry managing a variety of portfolios.

“Associa pushes me to excel,” Bright said. “This is the perfect mix of responsibilities, and I wanted to show that I had what it takes to be one of the best in the industry.”

Only 2,300 individuals nationwide have earned the PCAM designation throughout the country. Community Group proudly notes that 16 PCAM’s are part of its staff. Furthermore, 75% of its Virginia Beach managers have this coveted designation.
