The inaugural NAPE Rockies Expo kicked-off today with its Business Conference at the Colorado Convention Center with a warm welcome from Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock as attendees and panelists prepared for a day of presentations from energy industry leaders. The Conference was presented by Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) and sponsored by Whiting Petroleum Corp. NAPE, the world’s largest E&P (upstream) expo, brings prospects and producing properties from around the world to establish strategic alliances for doing business and initiating purchases and trades. NAPE now manages five U.S. shows including NAPE International, Winter NAPE, and NAPE South held in Houston; Nape East in Pittsburgh in spring; and now the inaugural NAPE Rockies in Denver. NAPE was created as the North American Prospect Expo by AAPL in 1993 and now includes partners IPAA, Society of Geophysicists (SEG), and American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG).
