BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance today announced the appointment of Robert L. Romeo as Vice President, Claims, Healthcare Professional Liability & Construction Lines. Robert was previously Senior Vice President, Claims, Medical Risk, Construction and Construction Defect, at ACE.

Robert previously managed healthcare, construction, excess casualty and construction defect claims at ACE. Before that, he held positions of increasing responsibility at AIG Healthcare. He began his insurance career handling medical malpractice claims at Zurich North America.
He holds a juris doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School and a bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from Saint John's University. He will be based in the New York office of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance.
