A survey of business leaders during the Federal shutdown revealed that the government’s partial closure had a widespread impact on organizations across the country and created significant concern about U.S. economic growth in the next year. Forty-six percent of the organizations surveyed said they were moderately or significantly affected, and 74% said that strong economic growth was less likely over the next year because of the current governing climate. Additionally, only one-fifth (21%) believed their organization’s revenues will increase in the next year, and only 12% believe staff salaries will rise, illustrating the challenging environment many organizations expect to face in the next 12 months.

The speakers will discuss how the uncertainty and concern about the economy is affecting business decisions, and explore innovative strategies organizations can adopt as they chart their course for the next year.
