DAVIE, Fla.--()--Skulpt’s signature self-tracking device, the Skulpt Aim, met its Indiegogo campaign goal of $100,000 yesterday well ahead of its 60-day deadline. The funds raised from supporters in 32 different countries, will put the Skulpt Aim into production. The first devices will ship May 2014.

The Skulpt Aim is the world’s only wireless device able to accurately measure individual muscles' fat percentage and muscle quality. Its online dashboard allows users to track their progress and get tailored workouts, helping them stay motivated and exercise smarter.

Aim will retail for $199, but early adopters can pre-order the device at a discount through January 12: www.skulpt.me/preorder.

“We are so grateful for the overwhelming support we have received,” said Jose Bohorquez, CEO of Skulpt. “We chose to launch a crowdfunding campaign because we wanted our earliest adopters to be part of the journey of bringing this revolutionary technology to market. Not only have they given us the funding to start manufacturing the Skulpt Aim, their feedback is helping us refine the product and implement the features they value most.”

ABOUT AIM

Aim changes the way we measure body composition. It instantly measures individual muscles’ quality and fat percentage. Aim’s proprietary sensors collect thousands of data points, converting them to precise metrics that recognize even the slightest fitness improvements. Results are displayed on its screen and synced wirelessly to a personal online dashboard.

Aim’s smart design was recognized with the International 2014 CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards Honoree title in the Health and Fitness product category.
