MIAMI BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mid-Life Crisis Productions today announced the screening and launch party for their new reality show iRun Miami. Set to the backdrop of the hip Miami skyline and on the heels of a record-setting year that witnessed more than 15.5 million Americans finishing a U.S. running event, the reality series takes an up-close and personal look at the people behind the trend that’s also setting running and jogging shoe sales records – an all-time-high of $3.04 billion in 2012 and growing, according to the National Sporting Goods Association. The screening and launch party will take place during Art Basel at Haven Lounge on South Beach, Thursday, December 5th starting at 8pm. Industry executives, investors and the media have been invited to view what has been called ‘the next big reality show hit’ by industry insiders.
Led by a charismatic 9-time Ironman elite athlete, Cobi Morales, and his business partner, Hector Arana, iRun & Company, a local runner’s shop in trendy Midtown Miami, doubles as the stage for the new reality series that follows the weekly routine of ordinary runners who reach extraordinary personal goals. “Each week we meet a new set of ‘iRunners’ who come to the store with unique cultures, backgrounds and athletic abilities,” said Mr. Morales. “They arrive looking for shoes, advice or clothing, but usually find something bigger and in many cases, life altering,” remarked Mr. Arana.
“What started out as a hobby, has been propelled by sheer public interest into what we believe will be a big hit series,” said William Sancho, producer of the series. “We are actively seeking to partner with a quality distributor and/or to work directly with a major studio, network, or channel to finalize the pilot and get on the air.”
