PORTLAND, Ore.--()--Elemental Technologies, the leading supplier of video solutions for multiscreen content delivery, today announced it ranked 26 on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 and is a finalist in four categories of the Streaming Media Readers’ Choice Awards. This recognition is driven by the company’s high performance, rapid market expansion and technology leadership.

In its nineteenth year, Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 is a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America. Overall, 2013 Technology Fast 500 companies achieved average revenue growth of 2,600 percent from 2008 to 2012. Elemental revenues grew 9,482 percent during the period, supported by trends in consumer behavior as viewers increasingly choose to watch streaming video on connected devices. Elemental is the most highly ranked company in Oregon on this year’s list and the ninth most highly ranked software company.

The annual Streaming Media Readers’ Choice Awards identify by category the best-of-the-best in streaming video as voted on by the magazine’s readership. In 2013, Elemental is one of three top vote-getters in four categories: Encoding Software, Hardware Encoder (On-Demand), Hardware Encoder (Live), and MPEG-DASH Product. In each category, the company with the most votes will be named the winner at an awards luncheon during Streaming Media West on November 20 in Huntington Beach.

“Elemental has a proven and unique software-defined architecture that supports a customer base spanning the globe,” said Keith Wymbs, VP marketing at Elemental. “We credit the recognition by Deloitte and the Streaming Media audience to the innovative nature of our technology, rapid market expansion and widespread adoption of our video processing solutions, particularly by pay TV operators for live linear delivery of broadcast content on connected devices.”

Today, Elemental serves premier media and entertainment brands worldwide such as the BBC, Comcast, ESPN, Eurosport, Foxtel, HBO, NHK, Telefónica and Warner Bros. with video processing technology that supports leading-edge multiscreen initiatives. Customer applications include conversion of large content libraries for online viewing, live linear delivery of broadcast television content, and live video streaming of the largest and most recognizable sporting events on the planet, including the upcoming Winter Games in Sochi.
