BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Altman Vilandrie & Company, a strategy consulting firm focused on the communications, media and related technology sectors, has hired Josh Zaretsky as a director of the growing company. Zaretsky brings deep experience in working with technology companies and will advise the firm’s clients on a range of strategy and marketing issues. He is based at the firm’s San Francisco office.

Zaretsky, a California native, has spent the bulk of his career assisting technology companies with product, marketing and growth strategies at top consulting firms, including Accenture and Oliver Wyman. He's also held operational roles at Cisco, and led product marketing at Meraki, a Google-backed startup later acquired by Cisco. At Altman Vilandrie & Company, Zaretsky will focus on product portfolio planning, marketing optimization, new business models, and the software, cloud and network infrastructure spaces.
Zaretsky began his career as a political speechwriter and has authored multiple articles on Middle East economics and politics. He holds degrees in economics and political science from the University of California, Davis and an M.B.A. from Cornell.
