Force 3 Named Winner of $6.9 Billion NETCENTS-2 Defense Contract

Multiple-award IDIQ to provide COTS netcentric products to U.S. Air Force

CROFTON, Md.--()--Force 3, delivering the best in federal security, unified communications, networks, data center, and medical imaging solutions, today announced that it has been named a winner of the Network Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) contract vehicle by the U.S. Air Force. The firm-fixed price, multiple-award, infinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract is worth a maximum of $6.9 billion.

The purpose of the NETCENTS-2 Netcentric Products program is to deliver commercially available off-the-shelf commercial (COTS) products such as networking equipment, servers/storage, multimedia, and software for the U.S. Air Force's Internet Protocol Network and to bring all IT systems into compliance with the U.S. Air Force enterprise cyberspace architecture. The contract has a potential period of performance of six years, consisting of an initial three-year base period to be followed by three potential one-year-long contract extensions.

“Force 3 is pleased to be named a winner of the NETCENTS-2 contract vehicle with the opportunity to support the U.S. Air Force, DOD and affiliated federal agencies in achieving their mission-critical goals,” said Mike Greaney, President of Force 3 Federal. “We look forward to leveraging our considerable experience working with the federal government, unique technology solutions and our position with manufacturers to bring an added dimension of value and support to NETCENTS-2.”

Force 3, as a small business, was named as one of nine winners announced this week. Earlier this year, 16 other companies had been named as participants in the program, bringing the total number of companies supporting the NETCENTS-2 contract to 25. The contract gives them the right to bid on task orders to fulfill under NETCENTS-2. The contract is mandatory for Air Force customers purchasing netcentric products.
