TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Medworxx Solutions Inc. ("Medworxx") (TSX VENTURE: MWX) today announced a partnership with Kurt Salmon to use the Medworxx Patient Flow Platform to conduct audits of healthcare organizations in France as part of their management consulting process.
Kurt Salmon will use the Medworxx Appropriate Length of Stay Audit (“ALSA”) in combination with their own audit processes and methodologies. The ALSA uses the proven Medworxx software as an audit and diagnostic solution, prior to hospitals implementing the solution operationally. Management consulting companies and hospital support agencies are able to use Medworxx to rapidly unlock unique patient flow data, providing visibility into patient flow issues in the hospitals that they provide services to.
Similar audits have proven to be effective in identifying hospital patient flow barriers and delays, and thus effective in enabling Medworxx to penetrate new markets. For example, two UK audit sites – The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals, and South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – recently became users of the Medworxx Patient Flow solution, marking an initial successful entry to the UK market. Medworxx and its consulting partners have conducted multiple audits internationally in 2013, in locations including the UK, Australia, and Canada.
“There is a definite need for the Medworxx Patient Flow solution in France,” said Didier Guidoni, Partner, Welfare and Healthcare, Kurt Salmon. “We look forward to working with Medworxx to bring their solution to market.”
“We are excited to be entering the France market, which is almost four times the size of the Canadian market based on number of beds,” said Dan Matlow, President and CEO, Medworxx. “We believe our solution is well suited for the France market and are encouraged that an organization such as Kurt Salmon has recognized the value of the unique information that can be obtained through the use of Medworxx and our ALSA program. We look forward to working with Kurt Salmon.”
Medworxx delivers health information solutions to over 350 hospitals internationally; including Canada, United States and United Kingdom. Medworxx helps hospitals meet patient flow challenges, and requirements in compliance and education. Medworxx Clinical Criteria – flagship of Medworxx Patient Flow that includes electronic bed board and independent assessment components – currently serves over 35% of the acute care beds in Canada. Founded in 2004, Medworxx is based in Toronto, ON, and publicly traded on the TSX Venture Exchange: MWX.
