PHILADELPHIA & HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SolomonEdwards, a national professional services firm, is pleased to announce two staff promotions within its Houston office. SolomonEdwards has promoted Susan Jistel Spillios to Partner of its new national Energy Services practice and Margaret Stribling to Partner of the Houston Business Advisory practice.
Candace Caley, Managing Partner of both the Houston office and the company’s Banking & Financial Services practice said, “It is my honor to promote two hard-working team members to Partner.” Candace noted, “Susan has deep connections and expertise in the Exploration & Production space. Margaret specializes in scoping and managing complex projects in a number of industries with a specialty in oilfield services.” She notes that both have been instrumental in building SolomonEdwards’ national platform and Houston presence.
Susan Jistel Spillios, a certified CPA and board member of the Texas State CPA society, has been with SolomonEdwards since March of 2012. She brings deep expertise in sales, recruiting and delivery of accounting and finance business advisory services. In addition to her focus as Partner over the newly established Energy Services practice, Susan will assume responsibility for Houston’s consulting recruiting and sales, both in the energy and non-energy sectors. Since joining SolomonEdwards, she has been critical in the development of both the national banking practice and the national recruiting platform. Prior to SolomonEdwards Susan served as Director of Business Development for Sirius Solutions and held titles within the Project Services division of Accretive Solutions. Susan began her career at Deloitte after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin’s Red McCombs School of Business with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Margaret Stribling, a certified CPA and PMP, has been with SolomonEdwards since February of 2008. In her previous roles of Principal and Practice Leader, she has guided SolomonEdwards clients in bankruptcy emergence projects, process improvement, carve-outs and compliance solutions. Margaret brings more than 20 years of broad-based Big 4 and consulting experience, specialized in business process improvement, financial reporting and managing multiple complex projects. Her public accounting and corporate controllership experience spans industries including oilfield services, oil and gas, and energy trading. She previously worked as a Consultant at LyondellBasell and as both the Director of Accounting & Finance and national energy practice leader at Accretive Solutions. Margaret began her career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers after graduating summa cum laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She is also an active committee member with the Houston CPA Society.
Both Susan and Margaret will report to Candace Caley in their new roles.
