WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Karen S. Lovitch, a Member and Practice Leader of the Health Law Practice of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., will participate in a panel discussion entitled, “Inclusive Leadership: Embracing Diverse Perspectives.” The program, part of the Eberly Ideas Discussion Series presented by the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences of West Virginia University, will take place on Thursday, October 24 in Washington, D.C.
The “Inclusive Leadership: Embracing Diverse Perspectives” panel will feature change agents from a variety of industries and distinguished faculty members from the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences. Speakers will address the demographic transformation of the U.S. workforce and the resulting focus on leaders to recognize the value of various perspectives being brought to the table by employees, constituents, and colleagues.
Ms. Lovitch’s practice involves counseling health care clients on regulatory, transactional, and operational issues, including Medicare coverage and reimbursement, the development and implementation of health care compliance programs, and licensure and certification matters. In addition, Ms. Lovitch advises clients on the legal, practical, and fraud and abuse implications of business arrangements and sales and marketing practices. Her experience includes matters related to the anti-kickback statute, the Stark law, state statutes prohibiting kickbacks and self-referrals, and the federal Physician Payments Sunshine Act.
