Patrick brings 15+ years of experience in negotiating license and development agreements, resulting in the release of over 250 commercially released games on all platforms, including well-known franchises such as The Witcher, Supreme Commander, Day Z, Magic: The Gathering and Hawken. In addition, he has assisted various clients in obtaining the game/interactive rights to many iconic properties such as The Simpsons, Zumba Fitness, Marvel Comics and Superman. In his role at Digital Capital, he will assist the company in all of their legal and business affairs as it grows its portfolio of investments and projects.

Patrick is a founding member and Co-President of the Video Game Bar Association. Patrick is also a frequent speaker on video game panels and seminars on behalf of organizations such as: Law Seminars International, International Game Developers Association (IGDA) and the American Bar Association. He is an adjunct professor at Southwestern Law School, where he teaches Video Game Agreements.
Patrick Sweeney’s appointment follows that of former Electronics Arts senior executive, Jonathan Bunney, who recently joined Digital Capital as Director of Marketing.
