CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Roetzel is pleased to welcome Jim Schuster as a partner in the Cleveland office. He is a member of the firm’s Business Services Practice Group and a part of the firm’s expanding team of health care law attorneys.

Mr. Schuster focuses his practice on regulatory health care, technology and intellectual property law. He has extensive experience working with health care and technology providers, as well as those that do business with, invest in and finance health care and technology providers and initiatives. He also has a substantial background safeguarding and protecting client intellectual property rights. In addition to his full-time law practice, Mr. Schuster serves as an adjunct health law professor at the Cleveland-Marshall School of Law, Center for Health Law Policy.
Moreover, Mr. Schuster has the unique distinction of having served in all three branches of the federal government. He has served on the U.S. Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs, the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Labor, the Federal Interagency Working Group on Telemedicine, the White House National Health Care Task Force, and as federal judicial law clerk to the late Honorable Carl B. Rubin, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
Mr. Schuster was most recently a principal at the Cleveland law firm of McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., L.P.A. He earned his J.D. from the George Washington University National Law Center, summa cum laude, and his B.S. in political science and journalism from Cleveland State University, summa cum laude.
