Remitly Launches Updated Mobile Application

Empowers consumers with new digital remittance convenience

SEATTLE--()--Remitly, a leading online remittance service that allows people in the U.S. to send money to the Philippines, today launched a new version of its mobile application that further raises the bar for mobile international money transfers. The application, available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, is the first and only mobile money transfer service to allow customers to send free messages in the same application they use to send money.

The result is that people call the receiver before making a transfer and call after they have received confirmation that funds have been delivered, because they have no way of knowing what has been communicated to the receiver.
