--(BUSINESS WIRE)--First Wind:
|WHAT:||For more than 25 years October has been National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in a continued effort show support, First Wind will once again light one of the turbines at its Steel Winds project in Lackawanna, New York the color pink (weather and other factors permitting, most evenings during the entire month of October). Located near Buffalo on the shores of Lake Erie, on top of a brownfield left behind by an abandoned steel mill, the Steel Winds project provides a unique backdrop for First Wind to raise awareness and solidarity for breast cancer for the third year running. With a generating capacity of 35 megawatts, the Steel Winds project generates enough clean electricity to power approximately 9,000 New York homes.|
