HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stewart & Stevenson LLC announced today the appointment of John B. Simmons as Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Stephen Fulgham who assumes the position of Senior Advisor to the Executive Chairman of the Company.
Mr. Simmons has 30 years of experience in the oil service industry. He was Chief Financial Officer at Stewart & Stevenson Services, Inc. and served as Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Stewart & Stevenson LLC. Prior to joining Stewart & Stevenson, Mr. Simmons served as Chief Financial Officer of Cooper Energy Services, a division of Cooper Cameron Corporation. He is a Certified Public Accountant and he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Lamar University. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Company since September 2010.
Mr. Simmons will also hold the title of Interim Chief Financial Officer pending the appointment of a successor.
