Vampire Weekend Visit Metro US as Special Guests and Assistant Editors on Sept. 12

Band weighs in on most recent No. 1 album, the music they love and causes that are important to them

NEW YORK--()--As if scoring a second No. 1 record (with “Modern Vampires of the City”), a third “SNL” appearance and triumphant festival headline sets including last month's Lollapalooza weren't enough, Vampire Weekend is now branching out into the field of journalism: Ezra Koenig, Rostam Batmanglij, Chris Tomson and Chris Baio are serving today as special guests and assistant editors for the Sept. 12 issue of the daily Metro newspapers in Boston, New York and Philadelphia. Working together with the papers' permanent editors, the band chooses subject matter to be covered by the publications while curating a special section devoted to the best foods of New York City. Hey, even “Modern Vampires” get hungry.
