HANOVER, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Many motor cycle riders wish to celebrate the end of the season in style in the saddle and to savour the pleasure of riding up to the last minute before the machines are “mothballed” for the winter. Real bikers even enjoy to the full the atmosphere of a ride in the cool temperatures of the first frosts. To prevent the adventure in the cooler and darker season becoming a dangerous series of skids and slides, rider and machine should prepare well for the outings - starting from the bike being in good mechanical condition, with suitable tyres right up to looking out warmer clothing.
Always the right grip
Motor bike riding in autumn and winter exercises a particular fascination on many riders. "It is at this time of year on the bike that you feel nature intensively and close up. Mind you, this is also the season when riding is challenging and demands experience as well as being suitably equipped," explains Andreas Faulstich, a two-wheeler expert from moto-opony.pl at Delticom. It starts with the clothing: sensitive regions such as head, hands, feet and neck need to be well protected and kept warm. Thus, many bikers don a heated visor to have constant clear vision. The bike must be thoroughly mechanically checked before relatively long tours. "Having the correct grip of the road is now particularly important. The best equipment to avoid being taken by surprise on the roads by the caprices of the weather is all-season tyres suitable for winter," adds Andreas Faulstich.
Some suitable driving tips
Good corrosion protection is now a must - as is a thorough cleaning of the bike after every outing. And the rider himself should prepare well for autumn and winter touring: "The most important rules here are: always adjust your speed to suit the road conditions, never overestimate your own ability, use the clutch gently and go carefully with accelerator and brake. You should also be prepared for rapid changes in weather conditions and for slippery road surfaces, for example due to wet leaves," says motor bike expert, Faulstich. Also, you should take regular breaks for a warming cup of tea, so that you maintain your ability to concentrate on the road.
Motor cycle tyres for all (winter) weathers
The right tyres are an absolute essential. It is the rider's responsibility to use tyres which are suitable for any weather conditions. Therefore bikers should fit the correct type of tyres in good time for the cooler seasons of the year. Versatile all-season tyres with M+S marking are ideal for this purpose. There is a huge selection of tyres suitable for winter, which can be delivered directly to your door, in online shops such as oponytanio.pl and moto-opony.pl.
