DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--alley’s house, empowering teen mothers and their children to achieve independence, announces its second annual Creating New Futures Luncheon on Thursday, September 26th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Park Cities Holiday Inn in Dallas.
The luncheon will feature the Democrats’ newest star, Wendy Davis, Texas State Senator, who will share her personal story of being a teen mother and meeting challenges to build a strong future for her daughters and for future generations of Texas women. Introductions will be made by Dallas County Commissioner, Dr. Theresa Daniel, and Anna De Haro from Clear Channel Radio will emcee the event.
Creating New Futures Luncheon tickets are $150 and tables are $1,500 with 100% of proceeds supporting alley’s house, which exists to break the generational, economic, and social impact of teen pregnancy in the Dallas community.
For the past 16 years, alley’s house has provided guidance and support to help young women through its mission to empower them and their children to achieve independence through support services, education, and mentorship. Created in 1997, alley’s house serves clients who range in age from 13 to 21 and has served more than 800 teen mothers since 1997 with an anticipated 150 clients served during 2013.
