GLASGOW, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sitel, a leading global customer care provider, today announced an ongoing, multi-year commitment to support the Boys & Girls Club of Glasgow-Barren County’s Fulfilling A Dream campaign. In addition to a significant financial contribution, Sitel employees will provide mentoring programs to promote engagement and collaborative teamwork in the Glasgow community. The campaign will also help the Boys & Girls Club to expand into a new, safer building better suited for its programs. The new facility will support new and expanded programs and provide a base for long-term sustainability.
“Sitel is very pleased to contribute these resources to the Boys & Girls Club and enable the young people in our community—especially those who need us most—to reach their full potential,” said Sitel’s Glasgow Site Director, Tim Miller. “The Sitel team is thrilled to play an active, long-term role in building a better future for these children.”
The Glasgow Boys & Girls Club currently serves more than 700 children. Sitel staff members will volunteer at the Club and serve as program assistants and mentors on a variety of subjects ranging from job interviewing tips to computer skills. They will take part in special events and community engagement activities to further promote the Club’s mission to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.
"We are humbled by the extraordinary generosity of Sitel and its employees,” said Boys & Girls Club Campaign Leadership Co-Chair, Steve Newberry. “Through Sitel’s commitment, we are able to create a better future for the young people and families here in Glasgow-Barren County."
The Fulfilling A Dream campaign has raised nearly $2.8 million in cash, pledge and estate gifts of its $5 million goal. The success of this campaign will ensure that the members of the club have a safe and secure place that they can call their home away from home. Sitel has been an active contributor to the Glasgow-area community for more than three years.
"This is a very exciting time for the Boys & Girls Club,” said Club Chief Professional Officer, Kelly Lile-Jenkins, Boys & Girls. “Through the contributions from Sitel, we are not just a place for kids to go after school. This Club is a place where children can go to get help with homework, build character, make lasting friendships and so much more.
