Reback joined Konami in 2012 as senior director of marketing, bringing a broad range of marketing, brand strategy, and casino operations experience to the company. He and his team have designed and executed successful marketing plans, which have included brand and product launches, advertising campaigns, public relations, trade shows globally, and the recent launch of the new company websites. In this new role, he will continue to report to Steve Sutherland, chief operating officer and executive vice president at Konami, and will ensure that the company is supported by marketing and well positioned to grow.
Sutherland commented, “We are pleased to appoint Matt to the position of vice president of marketing at Konami. Since his arrival, he has developed new and innovative marketing strategies for both games and systems.”
Prior to his employment at Konami, Reback served as the vice president and assistant general manager of the Sunset Station casino for Station Casinos, LLC, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the property. While employed with Station Casinos, he also served as the director of marketing for the flagship Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa. His experience also includes the role of senior director of brand management for Caesars Entertainment, where he was responsible for marketing and brand strategy for the Harrah’s, Showboat, Harvey’s, and Grand brand properties.
Reback’s education includes a juris doctorate degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Los Angeles.
