HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HealthHelp earned a spot on the 2013 Inc. 5000 list, the magazine's annual ranking of U.S.-based businesses by revenue growth. In the issue, now on newsstands and online (http://www.inc.com/profile/healthhelp), the specialty benefits management provider ranked No. 2862 overall, No. 217 in the health category, and No. 59 in the Houston Metro Area. Three-year growth determined the rankings. The company reported 2009 revenue of $17.4 million and 2012 revenue of $38.2 million, resulting in 120% growth.
“The American focus on quality and safety in health care and the health insurance segment's inclusion of such metrics in their benefit plans is driving our success,” said HealthHelp president and chief operating officer Cherrill Farnsworth.
This marked the sixth year in a row that HealthHelp has landed on the Inc. 5000 list; the 2012 entry earned the Houston-based company a Five-Time Inc. 5000 Honoree distinction.
Farnsworth added that she expects HealthHelp to continue rising on the list, thanks in part to the company's recently introduced clinical decision support system. MedTree QDS integrates with the Consult program for radiology, cardiology, radiation therapy, and oncology benefits management, allowing providers to self-govern the ordering process and receive approval for most decisions in less than one minute, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The system already has proven to improve quality of care and patient safety, while generating savings for HealthHelp clients through decreased utilization and by helping them to meet federal medical loss ratio requirements.
HealthHelp, a leader in specialty benefits management, generates significant savings and return on investment for health care payers by enhancing physician knowledge, improving quality of care, and reducing unnecessary radiation exposure. Each of its programs addresses a different aspect of radiology, cardiology, radiation therapy, oncology, emergency medicine, spine surgery, pain management, and sleep care. The clients of Houston-based HealthHelp administer local, statewide, and national health care plans across the country.
