SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Edgewater Networks, Inc. announced today that it has added the EdgeMarc 7000 Series to its family of Enterprise Session Border Controllers (ESBC). The EdgeMarc 7000 Series is specifically designed for medium to large enterprise environments and is the ideal solution for connecting to cloud communications services such as SIP trunking and hosted PBX. It provides many critical features necessary to ensure high quality voice services including VoIP protocol mediation for interoperability and security, traffic management and VoIP survivability to maximize services availability. Supporting up to 2,000 concurrent calls. It also delivers the capacity needed for the most demanding converged networking environments.
The EdgeMarc 7000 Series consists of two individual models. The EdgeMarc 7300 and EdgeMarc 7400. Each provide 3 x 10/100/1000 Ethernet interfaces, a serial console port and utilize a compact 1RU design. The EdgeMarc 7400 adds a hot-swappable, redundant power supply option. Each of the systems can be deployed in a high availability configuration and support VoIP survivability.
The EdgeMarc 7000 Series is fully supported by the EdgeView management system, which is used by service providers and enterprise customers to troubleshoot network impairments that negatively affect call quality and provide visibility into the overall performance of the VoIP network.
