OAK BROOK, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, Inc. (“Inland”) announced today that it was recognized by the Women’s Council of Realtors - Chicago Chapter as a recipient of the organization’s “Elevate Award” at a recent Women in Real Estate Leadership Luncheon. Inland received the distinguished honor in recognition of a work environment that fosters the unlimited growth and advancement of women throughout the separate Inland companies.
The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, Inc. CEO, Dan Goodwin, along with five women executives from various separate Inland companies, accepted the award at the event. The executives addressed the audience by sharing their personal history and stories of success working at an Inland company.
“Inland has a high number of female executives and has always encouraged the advancement of women,” said Lupe Griffin, director of asset management of Inland Real Estate Investment Corporation. “It is an honor to work for a company that uses a special mentoring program for women to continue this tradition of growth and advancement.”
Inland has received several other awards that recognize its initiatives to empower women in the workplace, including The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) “Visionary Corporate Partner Award,” the YWCA “Corporate Recognition Award for Commitment to the Advancement of Women in the Workplace” and the Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce “Breaking the Glass Ceiling Award” for encouraging and promoting an environment that facilitates the unlimited growth and advancement of women. These awards were given in recognition of the fact that 41 percent of officers are women, of which two are CEOs, six are CFOs, and five are presidents of separate Inland companies.
In addition, The Inland companies were the recipient of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Torch Award for Ethics.
