BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that it has welcomed William Montero to their growing team of now roughly 200 real estate professionals. Over his 16 year career in luxury real estate, Will Montero has sold upwards of $600 million worth of real estate. Today Will is one of the most recognizable names in Boston real estate and is in the top 1% for total sales volume nationally. Will chose to join the Sotheby’s team as President of the Montero Group Division based on the extensive resources that the Sotheby’s organization provides to help him serve his elite list of clients.
As a successful Back Bay based broker, Will’s business is focused on luxury properties in the Back Bay, the South End, Waterfront, Midtown, Seaport District, Beacon Hill, and Boston suburbs. Mr. Montero’s vast network of bankers, attorneys, developers, property managers, luxury association trustees and more will now all benefit from the unique level of white glove service that only the Sotheby’s name can provide. It thus seemed that the pairing of an industry leader like Montero with Sotheby’s was inevitable as there is no more ideal representative of the brand than William Montero himself.
Larry Rideout, CEO of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty, and Paul McGann, President, are thrilled to announce this news and what it means for the future direction of the company. In 2012, despite challenging economic times, Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty had their best year ever in sales with roughly $800 million in closed transactions. With William Montero already having sold upwards of $50 Million during the first 6 months of 2013 alone, the company is now better positioned than ever to continue this upward evolution.
Mr. Rideout commented on the massive strides that the firm has made as of late and stated with optimism that, “The brand is not just about expensive homes; it is about a higher level of service and our unparalleled international reach. We have more than 660 affiliates in 49 countries and territories. Our buyers come from all over the world and that is a large part of what makes this brand so powerful.” Mr. McGann mimicked the strong sentiments from Rideout and was reached for comment to share the following, “Bringing on not only just an industry icon but a great overall person whose storied career is synonymous with the same first-rate level of service that Sotheby’s is known for is fantastic. While our Back Bay office continues to grow, the addition of Will Montero will only help to further our market share there and in the entirety of Boston for years to come.”
