API Healthcare Strengthens Leadership Team with Addition of Vice President of Human Resources

New HR leader will support company’s market expansion and global growth goals

HARTFORD, Wis.--()--API Healthcare, architect of the Healthcare Workforce Information Exchange (HwIE), today announced James McDevitt, has joined the executive team as vice president of human resources. The addition of McDevitt supports the company’s robust market growth and global expansion goals. McDevitt’s experience building global organizations and his strong background in healthcare will help the company prepare for its next stage of growth.

McDevitt brings more than 20 years of human resources leadership experience, including over 14 years in the healthcare industry, most recently with GE Healthcare. As the Chief Medical Officer’s human resources manager, he partnered with key members of the executive leadership team to construct and implement a global organizational infrastructure. He was also part of the strategic team tasked with creating and embedding a new compliance culture organization wide.

In addition to his role at GE Healthcare, McDevitt has experience in the healthcare information technology and drug development industries including Charles River Laboratories and PAREXEL International. James received his BA in Political Studies at the University of Leeds in West Yorkshire, England. Along with his BA, he has a Post Graduate Diploma in Labor Studies and has also received his Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) and Global Professional Human Resources (GPHR) certification.
