Kevin Cheung joins Turner Investments as quantitative analyst/programmer

Recent Drexel University graduate maintains investment firm’s quantitative systems

BERWYN, Pa.--()--Kevin Cheung has been named quantitative analyst/programmer at Turner Investments, an employee-owned investment firm based in Berwyn, Pennsylvania.

In his position, Mr. Cheung, 25, is responsible for creating and maintaining quantitative research tools to aid the Investments Team of 25 portfolio managers and global equity analysts in running the firm’s investments. Founded in 1990, Turner manages growth, global/international, and long/short portfolios in stocks for both institutions and individuals. Turner has more than $8 billion in assets under management, as of June 30, 2013.

Mr. Cheung’s duties include developing investment screens, setting and monitoring buy/sell alerts on stocks and industries, and assisting with Turner’s global asset-allocation and stock-picking quantitative models. He reports to David Kovacs, chief investment officer, quantitative strategies.

Mr. Cheung worked most recently as a contract employee for Turner’s Quantitative Team. He earned a master of science degree in computer science in 2013 and a bachelor of science in computer science in 2011, both from Drexel University.

He resides in Berwyn, Pennsylvania.
