Precision Image Analysis (PIA) Adds Prominent Radiologist as Medical Director

Scott D. Flamm, M.D., Section Head for Cardiovascular Imaging in Radiology at Cleveland Clinic, Joins PIA Team to Provide Guidance in Clinical Strategy

KIRKLAND, Wash.--()--Precision Image Analysis is pleased to announce Dr. Scott D. Flamm, as the Medical Director at PIA. “I welcome Dr. Flamm to PIA,” commented Mary Waiss, the company’s CEO. “His experience and commitment to excellence will assure quality and consistency in our cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (cMR) post-processing service and his clinical leadership will guide PIA’s growth into new applications.”

About Dr. Scott D. Flamm:

Dr. Flamm received his B.A. from the UC Berkeley, and his M.D. from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Following his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the UCLA, he completed fellowship training in Cardiovascular Imaging and Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the UC San Francisco.

Dr. Flamm was in the Division of Cardiovascular Imaging at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio for five years before being recruited to the Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas in 1999 where he served as the Director of MRI and Cardiovascular MRI Research for over seven years. In September 2006, Dr. Flamm returned to the Cleveland Clinic to serve as Head of Cardiovascular Imaging within the Imaging Institute, and holds joint appointments in the Heart and Vascular Institute and the Pediatric Institute.

Dr. Flamm is a member of multiple professional societies, serves or has served on the Editorial Boards of Circulation, Radiology, International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging, Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, Open Magnetic Resonance Journal, and the Texas Heart Institute Journal, and has authored or co-authored over 100 scientific publications. He was elected President of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, and served as a Board Member of the North American Society of Cardiac Imaging. He lectures locally, nationally, and internationally on cardiovascular MRI and CT.
