STG awarded U.S. Army NEO Tracking System Support Contract

RESTON, Va.--()--STG, Inc. (STG) has been awarded the two-year, U.S. Army’s Noncombatant Evacuation Operation (NEO) Tracking System Support contract for the Eighth Army G35 under the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 Services (ITES-2S) contract. STG will deliver the range of services necessary to support the operations, maintenance, and sustainment of the NEO Tracking System and provide associated user training.

STG recognizes the paramount importance and ‘no-fail’ mission of Eighth U.S. Army’s NEO Tracking System,” said Bob Phoebus, STG SVP of Business Development and Strategic Planning. “In November 2010, the bombardment of Yeonpyeong caused widespread damage and an escalation of tension on the Korean Peninsula. The importance of the NEO Tracking System readiness is a real world mission to support personnel and families displaced and affected by tragic events.”

Known for supporting the missions of its customers, STG understands the importance of the NEO Tracking System and brings to this effort the technical knowledge, resources, and surge capability to meet the expectations of all stakeholders. STG also has the management processes to deliver the range of services necessary to support the operations, maintenance, and sustainment of the NEO Tracking System and provide associated user training.

“The current events on the Korean peninsula highlight even more the criticality of the NEO Tracking System,” said STG Chairman and CEO Simon Lee. “Growth in the Pacific Theater of Operations has been a long-time goal of STG. This partnership with the Eighth Army succeeds in assuring we are part of fully supporting their ‘fight tonight mission.’”
