HORSHAM, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company announced today that Thomas H. Harris, CLU, ChFC, FLMI, has been appointed to Executive Vice President, Distribution, at the 166-year-old company, effective July 1.
Harris has previously served as Senior Vice President, Distribution and is also the Chairman of Hornor, Townsend & Kent, Inc., a wholly owned broker/dealer subsidiary of Penn Mutual.

Harris’ other responsibilities include overseeing Distribution Operations, Distribution Finance, Practice Management, Relationship Management, Annuity Distribution, and Professional and Practice Development.

Harris has a career spanning 28 years in the distribution of financial services products. As a former Senior Vice President at Prudential Select Brokerage, he was responsible for growing life insurance sales through independent producers.
He is a graduate of Temple University, with a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science. He is an active member of many industry associations, a trustee for The American College, Chair of the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) Distribution Committee, and former Chair of the LIMRA Brokerage Committee.
