Effective Strategies for Recruiting Gen-Y

New England College of Business and Finance to Host Webinar Focused on Attracting Tomorrow’s Workforce

BOSTON--()--New England College of Business and Finance (NECB), recently named by the U.S. Department of Education as the most affordable private college in New England and the leading institution of online education designed for working adults seeking career advancement, today announced it is hosting a free webinar for individuals interested in learning more about combining traditional recruiting methods with a more technological approach to appeal to future generations of leaders. Dr. Carla Patalano will lead the webinar, “Recruiting Gen-Y—Tomorrow's Workforce,” on Wednesday, June 26 at 1:00 p.m. EST.

The webinar is designed for human resources professionals, of all levels, especially those in recruiting functions, strategic leadership and human resources generalist roles. During the one-hour webinar, participants will learn about the importance of recruiting Generation-Y candidates, how to craft messages that resonate with the generation and how to effectively appeal to the values and needs of this specific demographic.

“Generation-Y members have grown up in a socially driven, tech-savvy world where traditional recruiting methods are not adequately speaking to these future leaders,” said Dr. Patalano. “This webinar is a way for NECB to educate human resources professionals on how to enhance their recruiting methods and hire the best employees using a more current, technological approach.”

Dr. Patalano, SPHR, is the author and program chair for the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS-HRM) in Human Resource Management at NECB. She is also the program chair for the Master of Business Administration program at the college. With more than 17 years of human resources practitioner and consulting experience in a variety of industries, Dr. Patalano brings a strategic business focus to the education of human resources professionals and has specific expertise in the study of generational differences.

Individuals interested in participating can register for the webinar at http://www.necb.edu/webinar/recruiting-gen-y/. For those unable to attend, please visit NECB’s Twitter handle, where the college will share webinar highlights during the event with the hashtag #RecruitGenY.
