Sitecore Appoints Former Salesforce.com and Intel Executives to Leadership Positions

Jeff Thomas joins as Chief Marketing Officer and Gregory Symon as Senior Vice President of North American Client & Partner Engagement

Jeff Thomas joins Sitecore as Chief Marketing Officer and Gregory Symon as Senior Vice President of North American Client & Partner Engagement.

The hiring of Thomas and Symon builds on Sitecore’s commitment to bolster its global and North American executive team in order to execute Sitecore’s strategic direction as a technology innovator, thought leader and trusted partner that helps marketers deliver personalized, engaging digital experiences that win customers for life.

As CMO, Thomas will lead Sitecore’s global marketing team. He will be responsible for the company’s overall go-to-market strategy, applying his talent for building and leading high-performing teams to define, elevate, activate and transform Sitecore’s marketing across the entire business and on a global scale.

Thomas brings to Sitecore more than 20 years of marketing leadership experience working with iconic enterprise technology companies such as Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Cisco, BEA/Oracle and Symantec. Most recently, he served as SVP of Platform Marketing at Salesforce.com, where he launched the “Salesforce Platform,” leading the cloud computing pioneer into a new era of innovation.

Joining Thomas on the executive team, Gregory Symon will serve as Senior Vice President of Client & Partner Engagement and will be responsible for leading Sitecore’s North American sales and partner teams. Symon spent more than 20 years at Intel leading the company’s software business development organization, and most recently served as the Vice President and General Manager of North American Commercial Sales at Red Hat Inc., where he led the company’s largest sales geography and managed numerous teams across the organization.
