Martin Stone and Thomas Feeney Join Investigative Firm Nardello & Co.

Deepens breadth of expertise in London and New York with the addition of two senior investigators

NEW YORK & LONDON--()--Nardello & Co., a leading international investigations firm, announced today that Martin Stone joined as Managing Director, EMEA in its London office on April 8, 2013 and Thomas Feeney is joining as Managing Director in its New York office on May 13, 2013.

Mr. Stone, an expert in conducting multi-jurisdictional investigations and political and country risk analysis in the Middle East and North Africa, will be based in London where he will lead a team of seasoned professionals with significant experience in global investigative and anti-corruption services.

Mr. Feeney brings a wealth of experience successfully managing and directing investigations regarding white collar crime investigations, including securities fraud, employee embezzlement, commercial bribery and mail fraud in both the public and private sectors. He will be based in New York, where he will join a team of seasoned professionals with significant experience in litigation support and corporate investigations.

With an investigative career that spans more than 20 years, Mr. Stone has successfully managed and directed teams of corporate investigators and analysts, specializing in matters involving the Middle East and North Africa for several international management consultancy firms. He has lived, traveled and worked extensively in the region and speaks Arabic. Most recently, Mr. Stone managed a specialist team based in London and Dubai for a London-based risk management firm. Earlier in his career, he worked for Deloitte, where he established and then led the first country and political risk consultancy within a forensic practice. Mr. Stone is also the author of The Agony of Algeria (Columbia University Press, 1997) and has written numerous articles in the past two decades focusing on political and business risk. He has spoken on integrity, business, political and security risk and various aspects of crisis management to business and academic audiences throughout the EU, North America, the Gulf and Asia.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Feeney worked for Dewey & LeBoeuf where he led and participated in numerous investigations involving the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, bribery, fraud and embezzlement for their White Collar Criminal Defense and Internal Investigations practice group. Before his tenure at the law firm, Mr. Feeney served for a decade as a United States Postal Inspector in New York. He served as the lead case agent during the investigation and prosecution of the Adelphia case, United States v. John J. Rigas, et al., a seven-month trial in which the former CEO and former CFO of Adelphia Communications Corporation, one of the nation’s largest cable television companies, were convicted of numerous securities and bank fraud charges.

Mr. Feeney also served on the Joint Terrorism Task Force in New York and was a representative to FINRA’s White Collar Crime Roundtable. He has spoken on white collar crime at the FBI’s Corporate Fraud Training Conference and has lectured at NYU and Villanova Law Schools. He has prepared submissions for Congressional review and also contributed to Building a World-Class Compliance Program: Best Practices and Strategies for Success, by Martin T. Biegelman (John Wiley & Sons, 2008).
