Olmsted County, Minn., Implements Tyler Technologies’ iasWorld® Appraisal & Tax Solution

Tyler’s SaaS implementation of iasWorld to make county’s internal appraisal and tax processes more efficient

DALLAS--()--Olmsted County, Minn., has successfully rolled out its software as a service (SaaS) implementation of iasWorld®, Tyler Technologies, Inc.’s (NYSE: TYL) computer-assisted mass appraisal (CAMA) solution, eliminating disparate property assessment systems and improving the county’s property data management processes.

The county is now live on iasWorld’s CAMA and tax billing and collections modules, and anticipates adding several advanced iasWorld features in the coming months to further help appraisers and managers simplify tasks and operate more efficiently. Olmsted County selected Tyler’s iasWorld SaaS hosted solution in 2010 after a competitive request for proposal (RFP) process, and implementation began in May 2011. The implementation project culminated with the migration of more than 63,000 property records from its 2012 assessment roll into iasWorld.

“Olmsted County selected iasWorld because we wanted an integrated, long-term CAMA solution that would propel us into the future,” said Mark Krupski, Olmsted County’s director of property records and licensing. “Tyler’s evergreen licensing philosophy provides us with perpetual software upgrades and, as a SaaS solution, we can be assured our software will remain up-to-date and our data secure. We plan to progress with Tyler as they evolve their products and services and expect to realize benefits from iasWorld for a long time.”

“Tyler has 75 years of experience in the appraisal and tax software and services industry, which enables us to provide expert guidance and flexibility during implementations,” said Andrew D. Teed, president of Tyler’s Appraisal & Tax Division. “Additionally, our SaaS model is a cost-effective way to meet operational needs, and Tyler’s evergreen philosophy includes software updates without any additional licensing fees to our clients. We are pleased Olmsted County partnered with Tyler and we look forward to a long relationship.”

Olmsted County’s largest city is Rochester, also the county seat, and is home to the renowned Mayo Clinic. The county has a population of approximately 150,000.
