NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Archview Investment Group LP, a leading event-driven credit fund manager, today announced it has appointed Peter Carey as a Principal in charge of the company’s business strategy and capital formation. Prior to joining Archview, Mr. Carey was a Managing Director at SkyBridge Capital where he led the firm’s hedge fund solutions business.

Prior to joining SkyBridge, Mr. Carey led the successful restructuring of the New York Common Retirement Fund's $4 billion hedge fund portfolio. Under his leadership, the New York State Common Retirement Fund hedge fund investment portfolio was recognized by Institutional Investor as "Large Public Pension Plan Investor of the Year in 2010." Mr. Carey also served in the institutional fixed income department at Bear Stearns and as an Infantry officer in the U.S. Army. Mr. Carey is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and holds an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Southern California. Mr. Carey is also a member of the Board of Advisors for the United States Military Academy Endowment.
