Linda Hassan Anderson Named New Vice President of Education at Knowledge Universe®

Lifelong advocate for children and families excited for opportunity to develop curriculum at nation’s largest private provider of early education brands

PORTLAND, Ore.--()--Knowledge Universe®, the nation’s largest private provider of early childhood education and care, welcomes Linda Hassan Anderson as its new Vice President of Education. In this role, Hassan Anderson will be responsible for curriculum development, implementation and assessment, and will lead the education team of Portland, Oregon-based Knowledge Universe, the parent company of the KinderCare® Learning Centers, CCLC®, Champions®, Cambridge Schools, Knowledge Beginnings®, and The Grove School®. Collectively, they provide early learning and school-age programs to more than 173,000 children in more than 1,700 locations and 380 programs around the country. Knowledge Universe is one of the largest employers in Portland, as well as one of the largest employers of educators nationwide. Additionally, it is the largest business in the Knowledge Universe global education organization.

Hassan Anderson’s experience includes leading the Academy for Early Childhood Education Program Accreditation at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). As a result of her work, the Academy experienced record growth, instituted best practices, and created strong relationships with state organizations and with thousands of early childhood education providers. Hassan Anderson has also done exceptional work with mentoring numerous at-risk centers on behalf of the Black Child Development Institute in Atlanta, as well as for Head Start and Parent to Parent.
