MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Barton G. Weiss, CEO of Barton G., one of America’s most successful event and hospitality companies, announces today the appointment of two new corporate officers: Jean Paul Desrochers, President, and Dante Neyra, Vice President of Business Development and Global Sales.
“With these new hires we are really taking Barton G. global,” says Barton G. Weiss. “We’ve had so much interest in our event design, production and hospitality services around the world, we needed to add to the company’s infrastructure to expand and execute quickly.”
Mr. Desrochers, who as President will oversee the company’s expansion, has more than 12 years’ experience in the corporate finance and asset management industry. Prior to joining Barton G., he founded Silver Palm Capital, a private equity investment and corporate finance advisory services firm. He has also served as a Global Equity Research Analyst and Vice President at US Trust in New York and Templeton Investments, both global investment management firms. He is an honors graduate from the University of Florida, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance as well as a Minor in Economics.
As the Vice President of Business Development and Global Sales at Barton G., Mr. Neyra will lead the company’s development by partnering with clients to achieve groundbreaking experiences that are at the forefront of technology.
Prior to joining Barton G., Mr. Neyra was Director of Sales at GlobeCast America, Inc., a subsidiary of France Telecom, and the leading global provider of content management and worldwide transmission services for professional broadcast delivery. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, and holds a communications degree and Minor in Latin American Studies.
An event design, production and hospitality company, Barton G. serves corporate, sports and social clients around the world. In 2002, Mr. Weiss opened the original Barton G. The Restaurant in Miami Beach, offering a dining experience that reflected the elements of fantasy and imagination his events were known for. His restaurant portfolio now also includes Miami restaurants Prelude by Barton G., located inside the city’s performing arts center, and The Dining Room at The Villa by Barton G. Later this year, Barton G. The Restaurant will expand to the West Coast with a Los Angeles outpost.
Ever expanding creatively, Mr. Weiss also launched a culture and style magazine, Vault by Barton G., in 2012. Following in the groundbreaking path of this magazine, which last year was named one of the country’s Hottest Launches by Min Online, he debuted an interactive vision board called In Season with Barton G. in March.
