ATLANTA--()--Pensions & Investments magazine has ranked the EARNEST Partners Emerging Markets Composite its number 3 top-performer (by 5-year return) in the emerging markets asset class (both gross and net of fees). The ranking appeared in P&I’s “Special Report: Top-Performing Managers” featured in the February 18, 2013 issue. All of the data for the quarterly “Top-Performing Managers” report are provided from Morningstar Inc.’s global separate account/collective investment trust database.
From its September 2004 inception through January 2013, the EARNEST Partners Emerging Markets Composite achieved an annualized net of fees return of 21.19%, outperforming the MSCI Emerging Market Index return of 14.13%. The strategy has performed well through a variety of market conditions, achieving up-market capture of 116% and protecting in down markets with a down-market capture of 87%, gross of fees.
The EARNEST Partners Emerging Markets strategy considers for investment equities of 21 countries including China, Brazil, India, Turkey, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia and South Africa – and is available in both collective investment vehicles and separately managed accounts.
