JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dickey's Jacksonville will be holding its grand opening party on Friday, March 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Texas Barbecue King, Roland Dickey, Sr., chairman of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. and author of Mr. Dickey’s Barbecue Cookbook, will be in attendance at the event where guests will enjoy $1 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches, free giveaways and hear all of his entertaining anecdotes.
“Mr. Dickey is the man behind the brand,” said local owner David Lowe. “It’s an honor to have him at our grand opening event. I know our community will enjoy his big personality and passion for BBQ.”
At the event, Mr. Dickey will give the first 50 guests a free signed copy of his cookbook, “Mr. Dickey’s Barbecue Cookbook,” which showcases more than 100 mouthwatering recipes, including many Dickey family recipes and personal photographs. There will also be a raffle for free barbecue for an entire year, three winners will be chosen.
