GEICO Road Race marks 30-year milestone of raising funds for Special Olympics

GEICO associates plan to raise $50,000 at this year’s race

On March 2, hundreds of Macon-area runners and walkers are expected to take part in the 30th Annual GEICO Road Race to benefit Middle Georgia Special Olympics. For 30 years, runners have raised more than $650,000 in pledge contributions and plan to raise more than $50,000 this year.

 

What:

Participants are invited to join the 5k race to help benefit Middle Georgia Special Olympics and Special Olympics Georgia.

Take Exit #6 on I-16; follow signs to the building on the left side of the road.
 

When:

Saturday, March 2
9 a.m.
 

Registration:

Registration available online at www.geicoroadrace.com

Race Day registration will also be available from 7 – 9 a.m.
 

Cost:

$20 by February 24
$25 after February 24 or on Race Day
$15 for participants under age 20
All entry fees include a race shirt
