BOSTON & GENEVA--()--PHT Corporation’s Europe General Manager Valdo Arnera, MD will discuss the benefits of eClinical technologies at industry conferences in February and March. PHT is the leading provider of innovative technology systems used to collect patient-driven eData for clinical research.

Dr. Arnera is a physician, scientist and entrepreneur dedicated to advancing pharmaceutical research for more than 20 years. Since founding PHT Corporation Sàrl in 2001 he has developed strong relationships with European customers’ clinical sites and regulators, helping to establish PHT as the eCOA industry leader and innovator. Previously he founded SciCor, the first European Central Clinical Laboratory now Covance Central Laboratory and started his career in research as a Clinical Investigator. Dr. Arnera received his French State Doctor's Degree in Medicine from the University of Clermont-Ferrand I.

“How to Choose the Right Technology for Your Trial” – How does a sponsor choose the right technology for patients? What is the role of emerging markets in meeting recruitment targets? This panel will address these questions and how to define clinical trial feasibility and establish a formula for patient recruitment success with regard to patient questionnaires.

25th Annual DIA EuroMeeting, 4-6 March, RAI, Amsterdam, Netherlands
“How to Optimise Clinical Development in the Elderly: Some Practical Examples” – Panelists will discuss how frailty may limit clinical trial participation. Case examples will provide insights on improving recruitment and how to innovate when designing studies that include elderly patients.

“Paediatric Clinical Trials - Trial Design” – This session gives an overview, assessment and understanding of the development of paediatric medicinal products and clinical trials. A general learning along with specific and relevant challenges that occur throughout the design and realization of paediatric clinical trials will be given.

Scientific Poster Presentation Session – Dr. Arnera will present a poster, “Effective Use of Electronic Patient Reported Outcomes (ePROs) in Oncology.” The authors are PHT’s Susan M. Dallabrida PhD, Senior Scientific Advisor; and Sara Tressel Gary PhD, Associate Scientific Advisor.

“PRO or ePRO” – Dr. Arnera will discuss ePRO adoption and what we have learned about the ability of patients to record data themselves in an electronic format. He will review the advantages of eCRF adoption and discuss progress with ePRO adoption and whether we can design clinical trials differently.
