Brean Capital Hires Peter McNierney as Executive Managing Director

Will Focus on Investment Banking and Equity Capital Markets

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brean Capital, LLC today announced that Peter McNierney will join the firm as an Executive Managing Director and a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. Mr. McNierney’s main areas of responsibility will be the Investment Banking Department and Equity Capital Markets.

Mr. McNierney previously was Interim CEO, President & Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Gleacher & Company, Inc., a publicly-traded investment bank. Prior to that, he was CEO and Head of Investment Banking for the predecessor of Gleacher & Company. Earlier in his career, he was a Managing Director in the Healthcare and Communications technology investment banking groups at Robertson Stephens & Company and a Vice President in the Healthcare investment banking group at Smith Barney, Harris, Upham & Co., Inc. During his 23 year career, Mr. McNierney has been involved in several hundred equity and debt public offerings, private placements and merger & acquisition and strategic advisory assignments for public and private companies in a diverse range of industries.
