Sensus Gains MultiSpeak 3.0 Certification for Integration With NISC iVUE

Company’s FlexNet utility network certified for seamless interoperability to collect data from wireless endpoints for NISC’s iVUE system

RALEIGH, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sensus, a leading utility infrastructure company today announced that its open standards-based FlexNet^TM communication network has achieved MultiSpeak^® 3.0 certification for interoperability with the popular iVUE^® system from National Information Solutions Cooperative, or NISC^®.

The MultiSpeak specification is a standard developed under the guidance of National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) members that facilitates interoperability among multiple vendor software products used primarily by electric utilities. The new FlexNet MultiSpeak interface allows iVUE users to easily import data generated from wireless endpoints to existing enterprise applications for customer care and billing, accounting, engineering and e-commerce solutions, as well as customer portals. The FlexNet system supports multiple applications for water, gas and electric utilities including smart metering, distribution automation and demand response.
