| WHAT: |
First Wind will host its annual Stetson Wind Snowmobile Ride-In, bringing together snowmobilers from across the area to see the company’s wind projects up-close while enjoying the scenic beauty of the area. This year’s ride-in will give riders the opportunity to see both the Stetson Wind and Rollins Wind projects while riding along the Ride The Wind snowmobile trail, a proposed 590-mile snowmobile trail that will connect Maine’s wind power projects and benefit local tourism and economic development. The ride-in will conclude with a barbecue luncheon.
For riders, a snowmobile helmet or hard hat is REQUIRED. All attendees, including members of the media, must sign a First Wind liability waiver form and are asked to be mindful of safety and respect posted signs. For more information, media should contact John Lamontagne, jlamontagne@firstwind.com or Dan Cashman, dan@cashcomm.net. More information can be found at RidetheWind2013.com. |
