Praxair Prices $400 Million of 0.75% Notes Due 2016 and $500 Million of 2.70% Notes Due 2023

DANBURY, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX) has priced $400 million of 0.75% notes due February 21, 2016 and $500 million of 2.70% notes due February 21, 2023. The notes are being offered under its universal shelf registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The offering is led by HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated and Mitsubishi UFJ Securities (USA), Inc.

The offering is expected to close on February 21, 2013. The company anticipates using the proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes, including acquisitions and share repurchases under the company’s share repurchase program.
