WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Award-winning public affairs and public relations firm, SevenTwenty Strategies, is proud to announce two new additions to its staff: Jessica Hood, Vice President of Business Development, and Doug Simon, Vice President of Campaign Strategies.
Hood draws on expertise serving a diverse range of clients, from non-profit healthcare to defense and intelligence, in order to support the firm’s growth. Simon oversees one of SevenTwenty’s most dynamic clients, the National Council of Textile Organizations, in a multi-faceted, international campaign.

Hood’s experience serving corporate and nonprofit clients has assisted hundreds of organizations in translating their marketing objectives into dynamic online strategies and actionable engagement tactics over the past decade. She has worked with RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, American Heart Association and American Nurses Association, among others. A former Account Executive at IHS Jane’s, Hood worked with clients in defense industry and intelligence to understand market forecasts and prepare for impending challenges, including the looming sequestration cuts.
Simon’s long history in public affairs includes serving as State and Local Affairs Manager at the National Restaurant Association, where he built, organized and managed state coalitions of restaurateurs to combat harmful state and local legislation and promote policies beneficial to the industry. He has vast experience overseeing complex public affairs campaigns, from research and messaging, to developing and implementing coordinated grassroots tactical plans. Simon is a former regional political director at American Majority Action, a former White House liaison for the Office of National Drug Control Policy and a former Deputy White House Liaison for the U.S. Department of Education.
