RK Motors Announces Launch of RKM Collector Car Auctions

Event schedule includes auctions at Pinehurst Resort and Charlotte Convention Center

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RK Motors, the country’s leading retailer and restorer of investment-grade collector cars, today announced the launch of RKM Collector Car Auctions, the third addition to the company’s growing portfolio of successful automotive-based businesses. The auction house will host two events during 2013 at venues located in Pinehurst and Charlotte, NC, respectively.

RKM Collector Car Auctions will hold its debut auction at Pinehurst on May 4, 2013, in conjunction with the inaugural Pinehurst Concours d’Elegance. The live sale will take place at The Fair Barn, a National Historic Landmark recognized as the oldest surviving early-twentieth century fair exhibition hall in North Carolina. Located within view of the renowned Pinehurst fairways and greens, the venue offers a unique atmosphere steeped in a rich tradition of historic events. Over 150 vehicles are expected to cross the auction block during the one day sale.

A second auction is scheduled for Nov 1-3, 2013 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC. With nearly 500 cars crossing the auction block, over 180,000 square feet of space will be covered in classics during Charlotte’s largest collector car auction.

RKM Collector Car Auctions will continue RK Motors’ focus on selling world-class classic and high-performance cars. The auction house will utilize many of the same resources to hand-select the cars offered for sale at their events. Both auctions are open to dealers and private collectors from around the world. General admission tickets will also be available for those wishing to enjoy the thrill of the auction as a spectator.
