Jay Cunningham, CFA and Eric Gerritse have joined the Investment Management team as senior research analyst and research analyst, respectively, and Andrew Shapiro has been appointed a director of trading.

Jay Cunningham, CFA brings over 18 years of investment experience to Aristotle. For the past seven years he served as senior vice president and senior research analyst for Metropolitan West Capital Management, LLC, working with Howard from his hiring in 2005 until Howard’s departure in late 2010. Previously, Mr. Cunningham held senior analyst positions at Hibernia Southcoast Capital, AIM Investments, and the Retirement Systems of Alabama. Mr. Cunningham, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Alabama and his MBA from Auburn University.
Eric Gerritse joins Aristotle with over 17 years of overseas investment experience. While he was based in the Netherlands, he was a senior fund analyst at ABN AMRO Advisors and an analyst at MeesPierson, the private wealth division of Fortis Bank, where he covered U.S. and global equities. Mr. Gerritse earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Haagse Hogeschool and speaks several languages including Dutch and Spanish. He is also a CFA level III candidate.
A veteran of securities trading, Andrew Shapiro brings over 28 years of investment experience to Aristotle. Previously, he was senior vice president of trading at Metropolitan West Capital Management, LLC, trading manager at Palley-Needelman Asset Management. Inc., listed equity trader at Cantor Fitzgerald & Company and a floor broker for Lehman Brothers at the Pacific Stock Exchange. Mr. Shapiro earned his Bachelor of Science degree from New York University.
